{"id":2656,"date":"2016-07-04T20:33:24","date_gmt":"2016-07-04T17:33:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.aucom.bg\/bg\/news-bg\/german-plastics-and-rubber-machinery-manufacturers-lament-brexit-vote\/"},"modified":"2016-07-04T20:51:31","modified_gmt":"2016-07-04T17:51:31","slug":"german-plastics-and-rubber-machinery-manufacturers-lament-brexit-vote","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.aucom.bg\/bg\/news-bg-2\/german-plastics-and-rubber-machinery-manufacturers-lament-brexit-vote\/","title":{"rendered":"German plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers lament Brexit vote"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-emphasis-key=\"paragraphTGVTGV\" data-emphasis-ord=\"0\"><strong>The German VDMA association\u2019s plastics and rubber machinery division, has \u2018noted with regret\u2019 the UK decision to leave the European Union.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-emphasis-key=\"paragraphTahTah\" data-emphasis-ord=\"1\">The association has stated that Brexit will have an impact on investment decisions and hoped that the period of uncertainty will be as short as possible.<\/p>\n<p data-emphasis-key=\"paragraphIauIau\" data-emphasis-ord=\"2\">It also urged the UK to remain as part of Euromap, the umbrella organisation of the European plastics and rubber machinery industry which accounts for some 40% of worldwide production and 50% export volumes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"desktop-hidden\"><\/div>\n<p data-emphasis-key=\"paragraphMaaMaa\" data-emphasis-ord=\"3\">Member associations are located in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p data-emphasis-key=\"paragraphGBiGBi\" data-emphasis-ord=\"4\">\u201cGreat Britain is an important market for us,\u201d saidd Ulrich Reifenh\u00e4user, chairman of the VDMA Plastics and Rubber Machinery Association.<\/p>\n<p data-emphasis-key=\"paragraphIaiIai\" data-emphasis-ord=\"5\">\u201cIn 2015, as in the previous year, the United Kingdom was ranked seventh among the most important countries buying German plant and machinery.<\/p>\n<div class=\"desktop-hidden\"><\/div>\n<p data-emphasis-key=\"paragraphAmmptU\" data-emphasis-ord=\"6\">At \u20ac152m (\u00a3127m), our exports were 6.6% higher compared with 2014. The first quarter of 2016 saw another sharp increase in deliveries to the island, up 25.9% putting the UK fifth among the most important customer countries in that period.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-emphasis-key=\"paragraphTihTih\" data-emphasis-ord=\"7\">\u201cThe industry has traditionally had close ties with the British plastics and rubber industry,\u201d added Thorsten K\u00fchmann, the association\u2019s managing director.<\/p>\n<p data-emphasis-key=\"paragraphMooMoo\" data-emphasis-ord=\"8\">\u201cMany of our members have branches in the UK.
